Sanam Teri kastam is an emotional lovestory. don't expect a happy ending . The film starts with everyone congratulating successful lawyer Inder LAL parihar. Flashback - scene starts at saraswatis home(heroin) . It's a typical Tamil Brahmin home . Saraswati has a sister named Kaveri . Kaveri has aboy friend and she can marry only if saraswati is married as she is elder than Kaveri . Saraswati is a old-fashioned innocent girl works as a librarian .her dad drops her at library inder lives in their apartment . He drinks alcohol and brings girls home. This doesn't go good with saru's dad . He scolds the secretay of the apartment for letting Inder stay there . Every one rejects saraswati for her old-fashioned looks. Saru's dad want her to be married to a boy from iit ,IIM . Saru falls for a boy named abhimanyu in her library . Every one takes her innocence as advantage. Inder breakup with his girlfriend . He goes to library and there he writes secret messages for saru backside of cards of books but saru won't see them . Later saru's another marriage proposal fails and she goes to Inder for help . Inders gf is a famous makeup artist. While she was at his home inders gf comes there and misunderstands everything . She throws abeerbottle on saru but it mishits inder . Saru takes him to medicalshop and there due to some misunderstandings they comeback in police jeep .everyone misunderstands their relationship and saru's dad throws her out of the house. Saru finds a place to live with inders help . Inder takes her to dhaaravi and there she transforms into stunning lady . Next day everyone was shocked at her library seeing her change . Abhimanyu proposes her and she accepts it .Inder is heartbroken because he loves saru . He arranges everything for her Marriage but abhimanyu won't come to register office . He says his parents didnt agree for the marriage . His parents say that they don't want a girl whose last rites were already performed by her family . Saru's dad performs her last rites on the day after throwing her out of the house. Saru asks inder to make love to console . They make love in honeymoonsuit . Later next Inder is heartbroken to see saru in abhimanyus embrace . Saru's mom asks inder to give kaveris wedding invitation to saru . Inder finds saru left abhimanyu . Abhimanyu tells him that saru is suffering with a trauma and she won't live long . Inder finds her at buddistmonestary .inder proposes her but she says that it's his kindness not love . Inder gives kaveris invitation and saru collapses in his hands . He takes her to hospital and later arranges cameras at wedding Mandap so that she can see kaveris wedding . Inder scolds her dad for putting wreath on her photo . Later he is arrested but escapes from them . Saru is discharged from hospital and goes to library there she finds the MSG's under left for her and he comes to library they both hug and she asks him to marry her. On the day of marriage she fells unconcious after signing the papers . She is shifted to hospital her parents cry seeing her state . Later she dies and Inder reconciles with his father . He burries her under a tree .back to present Inder goes near the tree and saru (soul) showers flowers on him .
